The offboarding feature is used in order to submit a request for Firstbase to retrieve the equipment from an employee who is leaving the company.
Please note that you must submit an offboarding in order to inactivate the user. Submitting a one-off return will not inactivate/properly offboard the user from Firstbase.
In order to offboard an employee, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the People tab.
- Select the user you wish to offboard. This can be done by selecting the user from the list provided, or searching for the name in the top right corner.
- At the bottom of the user’s profile, press Begin offboarding.
- Review the list of assigned equipment for the user.

You will be asked if the employee has any additional equipment that needs to be retrieved by Firstbase.
- Equipment Categories: Laptops, Monitors, Desktop, Tablet, Mobile Phone, and External Hard Drive
- Confirm the user’s last day and contact details.
- Confirm the offboarding and submit.
