Your device is currently under what Firstbase considers to be an atypical lock type. To move forward, please follow the steps outlined below:
- If the device is enrolled under an MDM, or you can manage the lock type remotely in another manner, please remove the lock or provide us with a bypass (code, key, pin, etc.) method so we may unlock it to conduct standard device testing.
Note: For security reasons, to maintain SOC-2 compliance, we cannot receive any passwords, codes, or keys applicable to more than one device or that can be used in more than just a single instance.
Please refer to your provider’s documentation or contact your provider for further guidance.
- For any locks where a code, key, or password would not be single-use or randomly generated, which is expected to be standard with all your devices of this make/model, you may proceed with one of the two options outlined below. Please confirm which you wish to proceed with.
- Waive the requirement for in-depth wiping and inspection of your devices that have this MDM/Company Login requirement by Firstbase and confirm the only testing required by Firstbase is to power on each device to test the most basic functionality.
This path forward requires the following: Admin must confirm that this lock will, under no circumstances, negatively impact any of their organization’s workers that may receive this device should Firstbase redeploy it or cause the need for an immediate return/replacement device.
- Approve Firstbase shipping of all your devices that have this MDM/Company Login requirement to you for wiping and testing purposes and provide you with an additional return label to ship the device back to us once said wiping and testing is completed by you.
Note: For any devices you can remove the lock from or provide a single-use PIN/Code/Password, please advise if you would like the device shipped back to you with a return label for you to troubleshoot & get the device unlocked, then once unlocked ship the device back to Firstbase, ship the device to you for you to recycle/donate and remove the device from Firstbase managed inventory permanently or if you would prefer Firstbase to decommission the device for you. *Additional fees may apply.*
