There may be times when you must rush-ship a laptop to a new employee as their start date is quickly approaching, and standard shipping times may not be sufficient. In these cases, we have built a tool to allow you to select and expedite that equipment to ensure your new hire is prepared from day 1.
What is expedited shipping?
Firstbase offers the option to have computers ordered with expedited shipping. The order will arrive in 1-2 business days (excluding weekends).
Where is expedited shipping available?
Expedited Shipping is available in the US, EU, and UK.
Can you do overnight shipping?
We do not currently offer overnight shipping.
What equipment can be expedited?
When placing a new order for a computer.
Will expediting a shipment incur fees for my company?
Expedited shipping will result in additional fees. You can contact Firstbase Support or review your contract for pricing information for expedited shipping.
How can I request expedited shipping when placing an order?
I tried to expedite an item, and the option is not available. Why can't my item be expedited?
To have items sent with expedited shipping, they must meet the below requirements. The item must:
- Be in stock in our warehouse
- Be a computer/laptop
- Not already been shipped out to the recipient (in the SHIPPED status)
Can I automatically expedite shipping for new hires?
Yes, admins can automatically expedite an order if a new hire has placed it within six business days of their start date. This can be turned on or off under Shipping Settings in the Settings menu.
My expedited order did not arrive on time. What happened?
For an expedited order to arrive within the promised time, all requests must be submitted before the indicated cut-off time in your employee's time zone as listed below. Items submitted for expediting after these times will be sent out the following business day.
- US: 2pm EST for US
- EU: 10am CET for EU
- UK: 10am GMT for UK
What is the cut-off time for standard orders?
Similar to an expedited order, for a standard order to arrive within the promised time, all requests must be submitted before the indicated cut-off time in your employee's time zone, as listed below. Items submitted after these times will be sent out the following business day..

How can I see tracking for my expedited order?
Tracking should be available on the platform as soon as the item is shipped, in most cases at the end of the corresponding business day when the order was placed with expedited shipping. If the order is placed after hours, it'll be available the next business day. If you still don't see tracking information for your order, please reach out to Firstbase Support.
