We’ve continued improving the Firstbase platform to help you manage equipment more efficiently — with less manual work. These updates give you more visibility and control across your workflows.
Catalog Management Safeguards: No More Accidental Inventory Lockouts
We’ve introduced new rules to prevent products from being removed from your catalog if they still have usable inventory in our warehouses.
What’s New?
✔ Prevent removal of products that still have available warehouse inventory
✔ Safeguards apply to inventory not marked for destruction or recycling
✔ Prevent removal of products linked to pending orders
✔ Company-procured products remain in your control — convert Firstbase - procured items to remove them after depletion
Why it matters: These safeguards avoid accidental catalog misconfigurations that block you from using inventory you already have.
Shipment Notice Enhancements
You can now select any SKU assigned to your company — including Firstbase-supplied SKUs — when submitting shipment notices.
Can’t find the right product? Just use the new “Add custom product” option to manually enter the category, brand, and description.
What’s New?
✔ Select Firstbase-supplied SKUs in shipment notices
✔ Add custom products when sending unlisted items from your office
Coming Soon: Smarter Handling of Office Drop-Offs
We’re improving how office drop-offs are tracked. When employees drop off equipment directly at your office, the asset will now be correctly marked as Returned to Office — not Not Returned.
Why it matters:
✔ More accurate asset return records
✔ Devices are immediately reassigned to the correct office
✔ Fewer manual updates needed in your inventory
Note: This only applies to new drop-offs. Previously marked “Not Returned” items will not be auto-updated.
