This guide is designed to help you understand how to use your staging account to explore and test the Firstbase Standard Catalog.
Accessing Your Staging Account
- Log in to Firstbase
Use the credentials provided by Firstbase to access your staging account.
When will I receive these credentials?
You’ll get an invitation email from Firstbase (see the example below). Simply set up your password, and you’re ready to go!

Navigate to the Catalog
Go to Menu > Your Catalog > Product Catalog.
- This section will display all products available in the Firstbase Standard Catalog.
Exploring the Standard Catalog Features

Add Products to Your Catalog
Select items from the Standard Catalog and add them to your organization’s catalog
Select “Add product” in the top right corner..

Browse Products
View items organized into categories such as Computers, Monitors, Headsets, and more.
- Customize Product Options
Select “View options”
- Choose between Purchase or Subscription plans (if available).
- For computers, select whether to include or exclude a warranty.

Edit or Remove Products
- Modify details of existing catalog items.
- Remove products that are no longer needed in your catalog.

Use Filters
Refine the product list based on filters such as brand, category, region, or supplied by.

Export Catalog
Export your catalog entirely or use filters to customize the export. For example, export all computers from a specific region.

What is a staging account?
A staging account allows you to explore the Firstbase Standard Catalog and test it before making final decisions for your organization.

Can I place orders through the staging account?
No, the staging account is for browsing and testing only. Orders cannot be placed.

Navigate to Your Catalog, click Add Products, and select the items you want from the Standard Catalog.

Can I configure products in the staging account?
Yes, you can choose options like Purchase vs. Subscription and Warranty vs. No Warranty for applicable items.

What happens to the items in my staging catalog?
Items in your staging catalog are for demo purposes only but can carry over. Once you sign an agreement with Firstbase, we can make your staging account live and use the catalog you created as a starting point.
