Security information Integration - Overview
We'll sync your device's security information in Firstbase, including your device's browser, antivirus, password manager, disk encryption and session lock settings, etc.
1. When does the integration run?
The Integration runs daily at the same time you do your first sync each day.
Once enabled, it will sync security information from Kandji into Firstbase and you’ll see your device’s security details (e.g. anti-virus, browser versions, disk encryption settings, etc.), alongside Firstbase’s details (e.g. condition, status and physical location).
2. How does the integration work?
The integration focuses on two things:
- We sync all your device's security information into Firstbase. You are able to see this information directly on your asset page by clicking on an asset and going into the security tab of the asset details.
- We provide a security score per device as a representation of your devices' security status. Our score is calculated based on various security factors like antivirus status, encryption, firewall settings, and session lock enablement.
3. How can I track my device’s security along my asset information?
We’ve created a security score per device as a representation of your devices' security (high risk, moderate risk or low risk). Our score is calculated based on security factors like anti-virus, encryption, firewall and session lock enablement.
4. What are the possible security scores I'll see?
Our security score has three possible values: (1) Low Risk, (2) Moderate Risk and (3) High Risk. We calculate this score considering the MDM you use and whether your device has anti-virus, disk encryption, session lock or firewall enabled. If all of these are enabled your device will have a low risk, while if some or all are missing you'll see moderate or high risk.
5. Can I export security data along with other asset information?
Not yet. You'll soon be able to export all your asset's security data along with your asset's information. This will allow you to create your own reports and dig into the data.
