1. I just placed an order for a product that's available in the warehouse. What should I expect?
When you place an order for a product available in the warehouse, a matching asset in the order's preferred condition (if applicable) is automatically reserved. The status of that asset will update to Unavailable – Pending Fulfillment, preventing you from accidentally placing more orders against it.
The status change is visible on the Asset Management page.
2. Will the exact reserved item be shipped as part of the order?
Not necessarily. We’ll ship any available matching assets in the warehouse to fulfill your order. This could be the initially reserved item or another item of the same product.
- If a different item is shipped, the reserved item will automatically become available again for other orders.
- If the reserved item is shipped, it will get assigned to the intended recipient for that order, and its status gets updated to Deployed.
3. What happens if an order item with reserved inventory is cancelled?
When an order item is cancelled, the status of the reserved inventory item reverts to Available
