Onboarding - Setup Instructions
Follow the steps below to set up the Asset Tracking integration between Firstbase and ServiceNow.
1. Prerequisites
Setting up ServiceNow integration is done via an OAuth 2.0 client and requires a ServiceNow admin role.
Before creating a client application in Application Registries, remember to activate OAuth (if not already activated).
1. Register Firstbase in ServiceNow's " Application Registry"
- Visit ServiceNow's "Application Registry"
- Create a New "Application Registry"
- Next select Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients
- Next you will be presented with a form “New record View: Default*”
- Fill in the values for Redirect and Logo URLs as in the table below. Please note, the Logo URL can be replace with a Firstbase Image URL if desired.

- When you select “update” the Client Secret will become available. Please note, you may need to return to the view and select the “lock” icon to display the client secret if it is not displayed.
- Copy your Client ID and Client Secret. You'll need them for the next step.
2. Connect to ServiceNow via Firstbase's Integration Hub
- Visit the Firstbase App and go to Firstbase's Integration Hub Page.
- Connect to your ServiceNow instance using your Client ID and Client Secret you created in the previous step.
- Start your Create/Update workflow.
- You are all set! Your integration should be up and running now.
