2. How do I access the history of a given asset?
- Click on the asset product name
OR - Click on the (...) Actions dropdown menu and choose "View history"
3. What information can I expect to see in the asset history?
The following information will be displayed for each asset when available:
- Asset record creation
- Asset ordering for a person
- Asset return request
- Asset reassignment to a person/office/warehouse
- Serial number changes
- Changes in deploy status/reason
- Changes in renewal date
- Asset marked as "Not Returned"
4. Is it possible to export asset history?
Yes. You can export the asset history, by choosing to export the "Asset History Data" when using the export functionality in the asset management page.
5. What should I do if I have questions about a history event for a specific asset?
Please contact your Customer Success Manager and include the "Asset ID" with your question. The "Asset ID" value is located under the product title when viewing the asset history of a given asset.
6. What does it signify if a history event change was made by Firstbase?
It means the change was made internally at Firstbase.
7. Can I access asset history via the Public API?
No, at this time, Public API access is not available for this feature. However, you are able to listen to all asset updates with the Firstbase Inventory API. Use the updatedAt filter to receive real-time information on any changes. Check out the swagger documentation here for the inventory API for more details.
