Overview
Firstbase makes it easy for you to manage equipment if you have office locations.
You can easily transfer equipment between office locations and team members, and or reallocate equipment that's returned directly to the office by an employee.
The Inventory Management section provides the flexibility to handle these assignments seamlessly.
Adding your office locations

Go to the homepage and expand the "People and Offices" menu. Then, select "Offices."

Once on the Offices page, click on "Add Office" and fill out the provided form.

Finally, submit the form by clicking on the Submit button.
How do I assign equipment to an office during offboarding?
During the offboarding process, you can easily assign equipment to an office location. Simply navigate to the next step and choose the option to drop off the equipment at the desired office. By selecting and submitting this option, all equipment assigned to the departing employee that should be returned will automatically be assigned to the designated office location.
What should I do if someone returned their equipment to the office instead of Firstbase?
To update the offboarding process for such a person, follow these steps:
- Go to the person's profile.
- Click on "Logistics".
- Look for the option "Dropped off at an office location?" and click on it.
- Select the office location where the leaver dropped off their equipment.
- Submit the request to cancel the return order and assign all eligible items to the chosen office location.
How do I assign multiple equipment to a person at once?

Go to the person's profile you want to assign equipment to.

Click on the "Equipment" tab.

Choose "Assign Equipment".

Select the office location you wish to assign equipment from.

Pick the equipment you want to assign to this person from the office location.

Complete the assignment.
How can I assign equipment from one person to an office location, or from an office location to a person or another office location?

From the homepage, go to the "Inventory Management" tab.

Click on "All inventory items".

Locate the equipment you wish to update and click on the pencil icon next to the assignee's name.

In the assignee form, choose whether you want to assign the item to a person or an office location.

Select the desired person or office location.

Click on "Change Assignee" to finalize the assignment.

If an inventory item is part of an active order or return order, the assignee functionality will be disabled for these items.

When an inventory item is assigned from a person to an office location, its status changes from "Deployed" to "Available".

Similarly, when an item is assigned from an office location to a person, the status changes from "Available" to "Deployed".
